വണ്ണപ്പുറം (ഇടുക്കി): റോഡ് നിർമിച്ചുനൽകുമെന്ന വാക്കുപാലിച്ച് പഞ്ചായത്തംഗം. ഒറകണ്ണി വാർഡിൽനിന്ന് സ്വതന്ത്രനായി മത്സരിച്ച് വിജയിച്ച പഞ്ചായത്തംഗം ഒ.വി. കണ്ണനാണ് തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുകാലത്ത് നൽകിയ വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചത്. അമ്പലപ്പടി- ഒറകണ്ണി- കാളിയാർ പള്ളിക്കവല റോഡ് അഞ്ചുവർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ പണിത് നൽകുമെന്ന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കാലയളവിൽ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഒരുവർഷം പൂർത്തിയാകുന്നതിന് മുമ്പുതന്നെ വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചു. ഒറകണ്ണി- പള്ളിക്കവല റോഡിന്റെ 210 മീറ്റർ ഭാഗത്താണ് വഴിയില്ലാതിരുന്നത്. റോഡ് പണിതതോടെ പ്രദേശവാസികൾക്ക് വലിയ ആശ്വാസമായി.
