But Lily did not sleep. ' I don't want to sleep,' she said. ' It is time to sleep, Lily,' said mother. Lily shook her head and sat up on her bed. She did not want to sleep. She sang loudly. Leena got up. ' Stop singing. You are disturbing me,' she shouted at Lily. ' Then I will dance,' said Lily, and laughed. Mother came and said sternly, ' Lily, you must sleep. Night time is sleep time.' She put Lily to bed and covered her with a blanket. Some time passed. Leena was fast asleep. Lily was awake. She closed her eyes but she did not sleep. After some time, Lily sat up. There was a cool breeze. She looked out of the window. The moon was shining. Suddenly she saw something moving. She was frightened. She looked at Leena. Leena was asleep. Lily quickly hugged her and whispered, ' Leena, get up. A thief is coming in through the window. I am frightened.' Leena got up. Both the girls ran to mother and told her. Mother laughed and said, ' No thief. The leaves outside the window are moving in the breeze. Now, go to sleep.' Both the girls slept. In the morning, Lily was still very sleepy when mother woke her up. Whole day at school too she was sleepy. That night, mother told her, ' Night time is sleep time. You must sleep. Only then you will feel good at daytime.' Lily understood.
